I signed up for travel advantage to get my free travel voucher. The lady I spoke to even told me I could cancel right away. So I got my voucher, used it, and canceled. I read reviews before signing up, and still decided to try it out as I believe I did years ago and had no issues. This time around since a hotel rebate was offered, I wanted to try it out. I work for one of the call centers that actually offers these rebates. It has been my experience that people who actually LISTEN to the PERSON on the other end of that line you call work the system and it WORKS for them. Even if its JUST for the rebates. i called TA to get a rebate, and ended up talking to a very rude loud female. she got louder and louder and repeated everything 10 times, and i told her she already said those things and she continued yelling and repeating loudly everything. she was trying to talk over me, not ok. she was very loud and rude. i had to hang up on her and call back because she is a low class c*nt with no manners... So I've done all the necessary paperwork, mailed back my Itinerary, the whole shebang. I even certified it just to be safe. I have not received a check yet. It's been 8 weeks since I mailed my stuff in. I have called them on 3 occasions. The first one was very early in the process to learn what I needed to do. They are very explicit in their instructions and if you listen carefully and follow the instructions you get your rebate checks within 2-3 weeks of submitting the REQUIRED form AND copy of the Itinerary. While signing up they try to Upsell you other things but I have never authorized those as they are also a "Free for a month" type of deal and when you forget to call and cancel they will... You have to send in your itinerary and fill out a form. A reasonable request. I followed instructions and after receiving my check cancelled. No problems. Their customer service was great. I had no problems whatsoever. I paid the $1 and that was all. Seems like a great company to me. Those of you who are complaining did not listen and follow instructions. I agree with Anonymous. I listened to the person on the phone and was told that Shoppers Advantage and Travelers Advantage were two different things. A couple of days after signing up with TA, I received an email with my rebate forms. I went on my trip a week later. When I got back I sent in the rebate forms, one for $50 and one for $25.
